Description
The Ken Linmax gantry type 5-axis machining centre incorporates a highly specialized design for high speed / high precision 5-axis machining of molds and aircraft components.
The design encompasses the following features:
- a torque motor driven 2-axis milling head
- back lash free linear motor drives on the X and Y axes with minimal wear ‘n tear
- dual ball screw drives on the Z-axis for maximum torque
- all axial movements on top of the machine with the workpiece on a stationary fixed table for maximum work piece load capacity and minimum floor space requirements
- high rigidity X-axis box-in-box column construction
- double high rigidity Y-axis crossbeam construction
- double high rigidity Z-axis spindle head construction
- a choice of 2-xis milling heads and spindles to best-fit specific machining applications
