ALC Automated Logic Corporation GCM2 Gateway Communication Module - The GCM2 (Gateway Communication Module) is a part of the LANgate family and provides communications between a Workstation and a control module network (CMnet) consisting of fewer than 100 modules. The GCM2 provides two EIA-232 Console Ports for connecting a Workstation and/or a modem. The console ports are switch selectable for baud rates up to 19.2k bps. The GCM2 also has a Modem Reset port which allows modems that cannot be configured for "DTR resets" to receive remote "hard-resets." Communication between the GCM2 and the CMnet is provided through a EIA-485 port. The GCM2 does not store Graphical Function Blocks (GFBs) but does require the GC2 module driver.
