This Delta slitting line is ideal for heavy-duty industrial applications, boasting significant capabilities with its dual injector head design. It can handle coil capacities up to 60,000 pounds with a thickness range from 0.060" to 0.500", supporting materials with a yield strength of 60,000 PSI and a tensile strength of 75,000 PSI. The line accommodates coil widths between 20" and 74", and diameters from 36" to 84". Its advanced features include new ABB digital drives installed in 2014 and rebuilt slitter heads in 2019, ensuring reliable performance.
The line is equipped with an 11" arbor diameter, with line speeds reaching 150 to 300 feet per minute. Key components include entry and exit coil cars, a double cone uncoiler, powered flatteners, dual rotary tension rolls, and a dual Wichita water-cooled brake system. The hydraulic systems are floor-standing and self-contained, making the operation streamlining with powered V-deck rolls and 720 HP DC drive in the recoiler.
For enhanced operational control, the line integrates touch screen controls with digital readouts, supported by the ABB DCS 800 digital drives and Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs.
