Machine Specifications

Model: Aquamaster CB-1400E

Overall dimensions: 13'8" long x 5'11" wide x 6'0" high.

Conveyor dimensional capacity: 14" wide x 6" high product opening. Load/Discharge height is 2'11".

Conveyor system: 14" wide, flat wire, 1" x 1" stainless steel belt is supported by stainless steel rollers. One (1) fractional horsepower AC gearmotor with jam protection provides power to the conveyor. Conveyor speed is infinitely adjustable from 1 to 11 ft/min.

Tank construction: Constructed of 12-gauge, Type 304 stainless steel. External welds are ground snag free and surfaces are glass beaded for a satin finish. One (1) 2" NPT (male) drain and one (1) 1-1/2" NPT (male) overflow pipe are provided. Tank bottom is sloped for ease of draining.

Canopy construction: Canopy is constructed of 1/8" thick fiberglass. Alliance's exclusive “FulAcess” canopy provides quick and easy access to entire interior of machine, (U.S. Patent No. 5,630,435). Access to machine interior is obtained by removing lift-off canopy segments. Depending on length of segment, two (2) people may be required for ease of removal. Fiberglass construction offers insulating and sound dampening qualities. Canopy exterior is slightly textured with a gel-coat finish for wipe down capability. A sensor is located on each spray zone for pump shut-off protection. Should a canopy segment be removed while a pump is on, the sensor detects canopy movement and shuts the pump off. If a segment is off, the respective pump is disabled.

Wash Module

Tank capacity (nominal): 190 gallons.

Pump: One (1) 2 HP horizontal cast iron centrifugal pump rated for 70 GPM @ 30 PSI. Discharge piping includes independent throttling valves and 0-60 PSI liquid filled pressure gauges for upper and lower spray manifolds. External plumbing is Sch. 40 black pipe.

Spray system: Spray zone length is 3'0". Multiple Bex/K-ball spray nozzles are positioned above, below and to the sides of the conveyor. Nozzles are clip-on and adjustable for easy maintenance. Internal spray tubes are constructed of Sch. 40 stainless steel pipe.

Filtration: Stainless steel shed sheets affixed under the conveyor direct solution toward a removable chip basket. One (1) stainless steel strainer basket with 1/16" holes located prior to the pump suction strains particles from solution and provides pump protection.

Solution heat: Three (3) 18 kW Watlow Firebar (or equivalent) electric heating elements, 54 kW total. Flat surface geometry reduces scaling, coking, and degrading. Firebars are coupled through the tank wall. Electric heat is sized for a nominal solution operating temperature of 140 to 150F.
Solution level control: The solution tank is equipped with a 3-position level control and fill solenoid valve. A level control senses low water, fill, and full conditions. At fill and full levels, a 1/2" fill solenoid valve is activated or deactivated, respectively. If a low water condition is sensed, the solution heat and pump are turned off to prevent damage. In addition to the fill solenoid valve, a manual fill valve with 0-100 PSI liquid filled pressure gauge is provided for initial tank filling until water level reaches the fill sensor. A water inlet strainer is also provided to prevent debris from entering the fill solenoid valve.

Hinged clean-out door: One (1) stainless steel 12" high x 21" wide quick-release hinged clean-out door on solution tank provides access to inside and bottom of tank for periodic maintenance. Doorframe is flush to tank bottom to facilitate easy tank cleaning.

Ambient Blow-off Module

Construction: Lower blower housing, blower outlet, air knives, and conveyor rails are constructed of Type 304 stainless steel and canopy is 1/8" fiberglass. Moisture from the blow-off area drains back to previous spray zone.

Air knife system: High velocity ambient blow-off strips residual water from clean parts. Zone length is 2'0". Three (3) air knives are provided. Two (2) are located above and one (1) is below the conveyor. Lower airflow is controlled by a guillotine damper.

Blower: One (1) 3 HP 3,500 RPM pressure blower produces 850 CFM @ 14.6" w.c. Air velocity within the blow-off module is calculated for 15,650 FPM (177 MPH).

Controls

Controls: Electrical controls are housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure with a fused-type disconnect switch and magnetic starters with safety overload elements. A transformer is provided to supply a 120-volt control circuit. Push buttons, switches and temperature controls are door mounted. Electrical controls meet N.E.C. standards. Panel is painted “Gypsum” color using industrial grade enamel.

Note: A main power disconnect with the ability to be locked in the “off” position will be supplied.

Note: Tansformers and power supplies will have their neutral or common conductors grounded at the source.

Note: All control and power wiring will have readily accessible test points in the control enclosure.

Note: No splicing of wiring is allowed. Junction boxes may be required to end at termination points.

Note: When E-Stops are activated, ALL functions of the washer must stop. After stopped, all functions of the washer must be restarted manually. A total of five (5) E-Stops will be supplied. Two (2) will be located at each end of the washer for accessibility
Machine Specifications

Machine design specifications: Quoted machine is based on Alliance Manufacturing, Inc. standard machine designs and components. Should Alliance be required to meet other machinery specifications, these specifications will need to be reviewed by Alliance, and a revised quotation will be submitted.

Paint

Paint: Exterior mild steel surfaces are primed and painted with industrial grade enamel. Alliance standard colors are “Alliance Blue” and “Gypsum”. Custom colors requested by the customer will be provided at no charge using the same type of paint as the standard colors.

Documentation

Documentation: Two (2) Installation and Operation manuals are provided with detailed instructions on proper installation, operation, safety, and preventative maintenance. These manuals also include installation diagrams, floor plans and electrical schematics. Manuals are provided in English.

Other Services

Operator training prior to shipping: Washer system will be assembled and run prior to shipping, at which time the purchaser's personnel are encouraged to visit for equipment approval and operator training.

Installation: Installation is the responsibility of the purchaser and is not included in the quoted price of the machine. Upon request, we will furnish a trained field technician to supervise installation at current per diem rates plus expenses.

Optional Accessories Included

1.1 Solution heat auto-timer: A timer located in machine control panel permits programming of preset times for automatically turning solution heat on. With auto-timer option, solution is up to process temperature when cleaning production begins. Solution heat auto-timer can be disabled by turning the auto-timer selector switch to “off”. When selector switch is in the “on” position, the auto-timer will take over the solution heating systems.

1.2 Micro filtration, stainless steel, 8" x 15": An externally mounted filter chamber, located on discharge of pump piping, filters 100% of pumped solution. Filter chamber is constructed of stainless steel and has a perforated stainless steel inner liner. Chamber holds one (1) 8" diameter x 15" deep disposable filter bag - micron size to be determined. Five (5) filter bags are provided for initial start-up and runoff.

1.3 Contamination sensor for micro filtration: One (1) pressure differential switch will be plumbed across the filter chamber. Switch measures the pressure drop indicating a contaminated bag. If a contaminated bag is sensed, an indicator light on the control panel will be illuminated.

1.4 Heated blow-off in place of ambient (adds 2'6" to O.A.L.)

Dryer air system: Hot air dryer evaporates residual moisture from clean parts. Module length is 4'6". Heated air is directed through stainless steel air plenums located above and below conveyor. Five (5) air knives will be supplied in total. Two (2) are located above, one (1) is located below and one (1) is located on each side of the conveyor. Airflow through the lower air knives is controlled with guillotine dampers.

Blower: One (1) 5 HP 3,500 RPM New York blower provides approximately 1,017 CFM air volume @ 13.6" w.c. Air velocity within the blow-off module is calculated for 14,474 FPM (164 MPH).

Insulation: Lower dry chamber is constructed of stainless steel and is fully insulated with 1" thick fiberglass insulation. Upper chamber (wetted area) is constructed of Type 304 stainless steel and is insulated with 1" thick fiberglass insulation. Canopy is double cladded and fully insulated.

Heat source: Three (3) 6 kW open coil duct heater is positioned in the return air stream, 18 kW total. Heaters have a high temperature shut-off for over-temperature protection. An airflow sensor is also provided. Dryer heater will be operable only when blower is on. Heater is thermostatically controlled by a temperature controller located on the machine electrical panel. Please note that with heated blow-off option the wash tank will be approximately 140 gallons.

1.5 Oil coalescing system, 1 GPM: This oil coalescing system is skid-mounted and includes the following:

One (1) separation chamber consisting of a parallel plate coalescing system for the separation of limited solids and oil droplets. The coalescing media consists of a series of stainless steel plate modules. Separation tank measures approximately 15" wide x 34" high x 26" long on stainless steel leg supports. The separation tank has a capacity of approximately 15 gallons, and is constructed of stainless steel. Cleaning, when required, consists of removing the plate modules to clean them with steam or hot water. There are no moving parts in the separator and no disposable filtering medium.

An air operated diaphragm pump equipped with a pressure regulator and flow control valve transfers the water and oil mixture from the wash tank to separator tank. Plant air requirements are 3 scfm at 20 PSI. Pump will have a polypropylene body and Teflon diaphragm for corrosion and heat resistance. System is designed for a flow of 1.0 gallons per minute. For optimum performance 24-hour operation is recommended.

An oil retaining baffle, which acts as a weir, forces the clean solution to go under it to the clean side of the separation chamber where gravity feeds it back to the wash tank.

One (1) integrated waste oil holding tank with a capacity of 4 gallons includes a drain and overflow port for disposing of waste oil. The drain is equipped with a ball valve.

One (1) stainless steel floating skimmer and hose for transferring wash water and oil to separator.

One (1) discharge hose for transfer of clean fluid back to wash tank.

1.6 Stainless steel pump and exterior piping: Stainless steel pump, exterior piping and flow control valves are provided in place of standard cast iron pump, steel pipe and brass flow control valves. Fill piping valves remain brass/bronze.
