the Model No. 104 GLEASON Angular Hypoid Bevel Gear Testing Machine
is suitable for testing the running qualities, as well as tooth
spacing or concentricity of bevel and hypoid gears and pinions up
to 4.25" (108mm) diameter

The machine corresponds generally to the attached copy of factory literature,
featuring the following:

-one pair of standard ¾” x ½” (# 7-Taper) gear and pinion spindles
(other spindles are interchangeable)
-1/2 HP, 3-phase, 60 cycle, 220440 volt
3550 rpm main drive motor providing forward/reverse
-spindle rotation at variable speeds thru multi-stop
pulley/belt ratio
-1/50 HP, single phase, 115 volt 1750 rpm rolling test motor
-electric work-head brake system for driven spindle
-dial indicator assembly for "split-head" when
testing gear/pinion sets in hand rolling mode
