Overview
Rolling Mills

The IRM Model #2360H 2-High Laboratory Rolling Mill is a compact, industrial-grade rolling mill engineered for laboratory, R&D, pilot-scale, and specialty rolling applications requiring both ambient and elevated-temperature processing. Designed and built by International Rolling Mills (IRM), this machine delivers higher stiffness, torque, and process control than other light-duty bench rolling mills, making it well suited for repeatable metallurgical work and controlled process development.

The mill is powered by a 1 HP inverter-duty AC gearmotor with a VFD supplied as standard, providing smooth, high-torque operation across the full speed range. This drive configuration enables precise speed control and stable low-RPM rolling, which is critical when processing thicker stock, higher-strength alloys, or running experimental pass schedules at both ambient and elevated temperatures.

The IRM #2360H incorporates an electrically heated roll package with closed-loop temperature control, allowing controlled warm and hot rolling while retaining full cold-rolling capability when heating is not engaged. This configuration enables seamless transition between ambient and elevated-temperature trials within the same machine.

A rigid industrial frame, precision roll alignment, and robust bearing arrangement allow the mill to maintain roll geometry under load, supporting consistent reductions, improved surface quality, and dependable results across multiple trials. The compact footprint makes the IRM #2360H well suited for laboratory environments while still offering capabilities beyond typical bench-top rolling mills.
