Used Prodex Pelletizing Line Prodex 4.5" 32:1 L/D extruder having an electrically heated, water cooled (closed loop), and side vented barrel. The gearbox is a Lufkin change gear gearbox and driven in a tuck under manner by a 300 HP A/C motor with Yaskawa inverter. Includes stand-alone cooling system for the gearbox. Over-sized on center oblong feed throat with water cooling and volumetric screw feeder. Free-standing temperature control panel has ten (10) zones of temperature controls. Inverter is free standing and mounted in its own enclosure. Mounted on the extruder discharge is a hydraulic slide plate screen changer having two (2) nominal 4.5" diameter breakers with hydraulic power pack, stand, and strand die. Downstream includes an 11" Cumberland "Quietizer" pelletizer with solid helical rotor. Powered by a 25 HP A/C motor and Yaskawa model V1000 inverter. Pelletizer feeds 10" x 72" Witte two deck screener. Offered less extruder screw.

This Used Prodex Pelletizing Line is a heavy-duty production system designed for high-volume plastic pellet output. It features a 4.5” diameter, 32:1 L/D extruder with an electrically heated and water-cooled (closed-loop) barrel and side venting. The Lufkin change gear gearbox is driven by a 300 HP A/C motor using a Yaskawa inverter, arranged in a tuck-under configuration. An oversized, water-cooled feed throat and volumetric screw feeder allow for consistent material input.
Mounted on the discharge is a hydraulic slide plate screen changer (dual 4.5” breakers), complete with hydraulic pack, strand die, and operator stand. Downstream, it includes a 25 HP Cumberland Quietizer 11” pelletizer with solid helical rotor and Yaskawa V1000 drive. The system finishes with a Witte 10” x 72” two-deck screener for finished pellet separation.
