Description:
The PTI TS4500 Pelletizing Line is a high-performance, industrial extrusion and pelletizing system, designed for polymer processing, compounding, and recycling applications. Featuring a 4.5" diameter, 30:1 L/D extruder, this system ensures efficient material processing with superior temperature control and venting capabilities.
The electrically heated, water-cooled (closed loop), side-vented barrel operates at a nominal 42” centerline height, providing stable extrusion conditions and optimized melt flow. The extruder’s gearbox is a Flender SZNE250, with a 13.88:1 reduction ratio, offering a 200 HP service rating and a 325 HP catalog rating. The belt-driven gearbox is powered by a 200 HP DC motor, controlled via a Safetronics SCR drive, ensuring precise speed and torque control.
The over-sized, on-center oblong feed throat includes water cooling, allowing for enhanced material flow and temperature consistency. A free-standing temperature control panel provides ten (10) zones of temperature control, with the SCR system integrated into the control panel.
Mounted on the extruder discharge is an HSC-45 hydraulic slide plate screen changer, featuring two 4.5" diameter breaker plates and an oversized 5 HP hydraulic power pack (S/N H45-204) for efficient filtration and material purity.
