Description:
The Gloucester Model 35250R2 is a 3.5-inch diameter single screw extruder with a 32:1 L/D ratio, designed for industrial plastic extrusion applications. It features an electrically heated, air-cooled, vented, and plugged barrel at a 65" centerline height. The extruder is set up for Contra-Cool but does not include a blower. It has an 18.17:1 gearbox reduction ratio, directly driven in a wraparound manner by a 100 HP Baldor D/C motor with Saftronics SCR control. The extruder includes a 1 HP pump with a heat exchanger on the gearbox, and all wiring is connected to a terminal strip for easy operation.
This unit was fully reconditioned in 2011 but was never put back into service. It includes a new control panel with 14 temperature control zones, a loose drive control, and three (3) new/rebuilt screws. Operates at 460V/3PH/60Hz.
