The GEA Niro Production Minor Spray Dryer is a versatile, small-scale spray drying system ideal for pilot production and specialty applications. Constructed from stainless steel, the unit features a drying chamber with an approximate 46.8" (1200 mm) diameter, 31.2" (800 mm) straight side, and a 31.2" (800 mm) cone bottom with a center bottom outlet. It offers a drying capacity of approximately 22 – 33 lbs (10 – 15 kg) per hour and uses natural gas heating through a Rillo FS5D series one-stage gas burner. The bottom-up nozzle atomization is achieved via a Niro pressure nozzle operating in fountain mode. The system includes a cyclone separator, 2.25 HP (1.5 kW) motor, control panel, piping, and additional infrastructure, all mounted on four legs. Last used for ceramic applications, this spray dryer is well-suited for food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
