Used HYSEP Solid Bowl Decanter Centrifuge, Model MD44. Rotating parts manufactured in stainless steel 1.4462 (DUPLEX steel with addition of Molybdenum which secures good resistance against pitting corrosion and intergranular corrosion). This decanter unit was designed for chemical applications but only used for dewatering of biological active sludge in a Danish municipal sewage plant. The main motor is 18,5 kW, 50 Hz, 380 Volt and the back drive system is a automatic Rotodiff / Viscotherm hydraulic powered by a 15 kW, 50 Hz, 380 V motor. This used HYSEP MD44 solid bowl decanter centrifuge is a high-performance separation unit featuring a bowl and rotating parts manufactured from 1.4462 duplex stainless steel with molybdenum, providing excellent resistance to pitting and intergranular corrosion.
Although designed for chemical applications, this centrifuge was only used for biological sludge dewatering in a municipal wastewater treatment plant. It includes an 18.5 kW main motor and an automatic Rotodiff/Viscotherm hydraulic back drive system powered by a 15 kW motor, delivering precise torque and rotational control. The bowl is rated for a maximum speed of 3,300 RPM at a density of 1,200 kg/m³, and the unit can operate with feed material up to 80°C.
