Northtech NT 400XL Heavy Duty Chain Drive 20HP+15HP Double Surface Planer (w/ Helical Cutter Heads)

This double-surface planer from Northtech utilizes a 20 HP motor up top and a 15 HP motor below, each driving a 5″ diameter helical insert cutter heads that have been dynamically balanced to reduce noise and vibration to provide longer life and a smoother finish. Material up to 16” (W) by 6-1/2” (H) is efficiently pulled through the machine by a 2 HP motor-driven carpet spike feed system with CVT adjustable drive speed. Two (2) 6″ dust ports efficiently extract shavings while the automatic lubricator keeps everything running smoothly with less required maintenance. Digital controls ensure simple, accurate, and precise control of thickness settings.
