The Agilent 7890B is a state-of-the-art gas chromatograph engineered to provide outstanding performance across a wide range of applications. At its core are the sophisticated electronic pneumatic control (EPC) modules and the precise GC oven temperature control. Each EPC unit is specifically designed for its unique function, with dedicated inlets and detectors to ensure optimized performance.

Integrated detectors: Includes a sulfur or nitrogen chemiluminescence detector for low ppb detection, and a flame ionization detector (FID) for auto-ranging detection from ppb to ppt
Capillary flow technology (CFT): Allows for multi-dimensional gas chromatography (GC-GC/Deans switch) and comprehensive two-dimension gas chromatography (GCxGC)
Low thermal mass (LTM) modules: Enable rapid column heating and cooling to increase sample throughput
Electronic pneumatic control (EPC) modules: Provide precise pneumatics and temperature control
Carrier gas options: Includes a helium conservation module, hydrogen sensors, and alternate carrier gas solutions to reduce helium usage
Gas saver mode: Reduces gas consumption without compromising performance
Split ratios: Allows for split ratios up to 7,500:1 to avoid column overload, and splitless mode for trace analysis
