2015 EMSIL Model VTL 60/63 CNC, Double Column, Vertical Turning Lathe, FANUC 31i
This EMSIL VTL-60/63 vertical turret lathe, manufactured in 2016, is designed for heavy-duty machining with substantial capacity. It features a maximum workpiece diameter of 6300 mm and a maximum machining height of 4600 mm, accommodating very large components. The lathe can handle workpieces weighing up to 150,000 kg, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
The machine is equipped with a large circular worktable with slots, providing a stable and versatile platform for various machining tasks. Two vertical columns with attached machining heads allow for precise and flexible operations. The faceplate diameter is slightly smaller at 6000 mm, with a turning speed of 30 rpm and a main motor power of 125 kW. The lathe also includes a C axis capable of 0-360° per minute rotation.
Additionally, the turning RAM provides vertical (Z2) and horizontal (X2) travels of 2400 mm and 7200 mm respectively, with rapid feed rates also up to 6000 mm/min. The CNC system is a FANUC 31i, complemented by Heidenhain linear scales for precise positioning.
The lathe includes a faceplate with 8 jaws and is enclosed fully except for the roof, featuring sliding doors with windows for visibility and a chain-type chip conveyor to manage machining debris. The machine's exterior is painted in RAL-7011 and RAL-7035 colors. The overall condition appears clean and well-maintained, with no visible damage or rust on the exterior surfaces.
