Lagarde 2B E autoclave, model year 2021, featuring a large horizontal cylindrical chamber with a volume of 5490 liters. The autoclave has a diameter of 1300 mm and stands on two legs, designed for static retort applications with four baskets.
The front door is manually operated, side-hinged on the left for operator convenience. It uses a pinion/rack system with a handling wheel for locking and unlocking, and includes a cam safety device. The door seal is maintained by a gasket driven by compressed air, ensuring a secure closure during operation.
The autoclave is equipped with several functional components: a steam injection and distribution ramp, a water suction system with filter plate, and a water distribution ramp with spray nozzles over the baskets. It also includes a set of automatic valves managing heating, cooling, pressure regulation, and draining functions. Two rails inside the chamber guide and support the baskets during processing.
Construction materials include stainless steel 304 for the body, internal design, rails, and steam ramp, with exterior piping also stainless steel. The control and power panel, painted steel, is mounted on the right side of the unit and features a touchscreen interface with multiple buttons, including an emergency stop, facilitating operational control. Pressure gauges and sensors are installed on top of the autoclave for monitoring pressure levels.
The autoclave operates within a minimum service pressure of 0 relative bar and a maximum of 5 relative bar, with a maximum operating temperature of 158°C. It runs on a 400 Volt, 50 Hz power supply.
Additional visible features include several pipes and cables connected to the unit for operation and monitoring. The machine appears clean and well-maintained and is housed inside a metal shed. The seal is provided by a gasket driven by compressed air. The door hinge with adjustment system is provided for an opening at LEFT standard, for an operator positioned in front of the autoclave.
