The Cantek SPC760MH 30″ Planer is designed to be heavy duty & robust but at an economical price point. The frame is built from industrial cast-iron which is designed to greatly reduce vibration resulting in a superior planed surface and long machine life. The spiral insert knife cutterhead with 4-sided insert knives produce an extremely smooth finish with greatly reduced noise.  The industry standard 4-sided inserts allow for superior chip removal with greatly reduced tear out given their shearing action.  The table is moved up and down manually and thickness is set using a simple scale.  The cutterhead is driven by a powerful 15HP motor or it can be purchased without motors.
