Newport documentation specifies eight DC input ranges, programmable scaling, sensor excitation, peak detection, tare capability and nonvolatile memory. Depending on the exact configuration ordered, these meters could also have optional relay and/or analog outputs.

Units have been stored as surplus inventory and may show minor cosmetic wear, dust, marks, or packaging wear from long-term storage and handling. These units are identified as calibrated for use with an MLY-A transducer with torque ranges of ±100 mNm and ±15 mNm. Operational testing and current calibration verification have not been performed. Newport describes the INFCP as a programmable digital process meter capable of displaying measurements in engineering units through programmable input scaling.
