The Schiess-Moweg (or Schiess-Froriep) VTL Model 40 DZ is a heavy-duty, often retrofitted, vertical boring mill, commonly featuring a table diameter around 3,500 mm (137 inches) to 5,200 mm, a swing capacity up to 4,000–5,200 mm, and a maximum workload capacity around 50–60 tons.
