Held at a comfortable operating height, the Vulcan VEKT80/666 steam kettles and stand has flanged feet, which can be secured to the floor to add stability. Its raised edge on the sides and rear prevent liquids from spilling underneath, while the drain trough collects liquids to accelerate cleaning. For convenience, the base is open, providing access to the floor for cleaning.
Because this Vulcan VEKT80/666 steam kettles and stand has three 6-gallon kettles, it can cook a large amount of food. Each kettle can be used for a different dish, so the unit works great to cook sides for a cafeteria meal. Around their bodies, the kettles have two-thirds jackets that have gaps filled with water, which turns to steam when heated and evenly cooks food in the kettle. When food is done cooking, employees can use the tilt handle to manually pour contents into serving containers. The kettle tilts past horizontal to 100 degrees, while its rounded bottom helps food pour out completely.
