With a nominal output of about three tons per batch in four to six hours, the IDA-3002X stands as one of Dumoulin’s largest and fastest coating systems.
The operation of the Dumoulin IDA-3002X begins with the loading stage, where the product such as nuts are placed into the tanks with capacity of 2,400 kg.
Once loaded, the process moves to syrup application. A precise spray system applies either hot or cold sugar or sugar-free syrup (600 kg) onto the moving center. The spray bars ensure accurate dosing, while automatic nozzle cleaning maintains continuous operation without interruption.
After each syrup or powder application, the batch undergoes drying. Conditioned and filtered air is forced through the perforated drum, passing directly through the mass of products. This airflow quickly removes moisture, fixes the coating, and prevents sticking. The perforated design of the drum makes drying faster and more uniform compared to conventional solid drums.
The air volume processed constitutes 27,000 m3/hour.
