The Toshiba HCV-1JBU is a low voltage vacuum contactor designed and built in accordance with standards such as UL 508, CSA 22.2-14, and IEC 60470. It is rated for a voltage range of 208 to 1500 V and has a rated operational current and rated thermal current of 600 A. The contactor boasts a high interrupting current of 42,000 A, a dielectric strength of 5.5 KV for one minute, and a switching frequency of 1200 operations per hour. Its construction uses an electronic-control drive unit that operates on a wide control voltage of 100 to 240 VAC/VDC. The unit is highly durable, featuring a mechanical life of 2.5 million operations and an electrical life of 500,000 operations, and is equipped with a 3NO-3NC auxiliary contact arrangement. Its design includes an insulated barrier for total separation of high and low voltage parts, making it environment-resistant and suitable for use in high dust areas. Special main contact materials minimize chopping current, eliminating the need for external surge protection for most applications.
