The 24" wide Colt CPS 24 Straightener, produced by Colt in 1996, is a used piece of feed line equipment, designed for efficiency and reliability. It features a 7-roll straightener equipped with 2½” smooth chrome rolls, an entry and exit pinch roll system, and operates on a 5 HP motor at 440 volts in a 3-phase configuration. This unit manages materials with a thickness of up to 0.065” of mild steel and a width of 24”, achieving a line speed of up to 140 feet per minute. The setup is optimized for left-to-right feed direction, ensuring smooth operation.

The accompanying Colt reel Model CR-60-24 PNP supports coils weighing up to 6,000 lbs, with a maximum width of 24” and an outside diameter of 60”. It features a 4-leaf mandrel pad with hydraulic expansion adjustable from 14” to 19”. Powered by a 3 HP gear motor, the reel functions both autonomously and with the straightener, featuring options for powered mode or pull-off mode through its mandrel shaft air brake.
