USED HEALD 275 PLAIN

The Heald model 275 "plain" internal grinder is engineered for precision bore grinding applications. Key features include a 72-inch extended, swiveling-type bridge and Fagor digital readouts for precise positioning. The machine is equipped with a 10-inch 6-jaw chuck and a Heald "red-head" grinding spindle, powered by a 5 HP/3600 RPM motor, alongside a 1.5 HP workhead chuck motor.

The grinding capacity accommodates a maximum 16-inch swing over the table and inside the coolant splash guard. It is capable of grinding bore diameters ranging from a minimum of 0.125 inches up to a maximum of 8.5 inches, with a maximum bore length of 5 inches. The workhead provides (4) spindle speeds from 133 to 400 RPM, and the table offers infinite longitudinal travel speeds from 0 to 20 FPM over a 16-inch maximum travel. Cross feed capabilities include roughing in the range of 0.0001 to 0.0005 inches and a finishing cross feed of 0.0001 inches. The machine features a maximum included bridge grinding angle of 17 degrees and a maximum workhead swivel angle of 60 degrees.
