Overview
Description
The APEC G3050 is a state-of-the-art 5-axis high-speed gantry machining center designed for large-scale, high-precision applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, mold, and heavy equipment manufacturing. With a massive X-axis travel of 5,000 mm, Y-axis travel of 3,000 mm, and Z-axis travel of 1,200 mm, it provides exceptional machining capacity for oversized workpieces while maintaining superior accuracy. Equipped with an HSK100A spindle capable of reaching 15,000 RPM and delivering up to 54 kW of power and 143 Nm of torque, the G3050 ensures reliable cutting performance across aluminum alloys, composite materials, and complex mold components.
The dual-axis milling head (A/C) features direct-driven motors with ±125° swivel and full 360° rotation, enabling precise undercut and freeform surface machining with outstanding rigidity. Its gantry-type structural design provides increased stability, compact footprint, and excellent cutting rigidity. The G3050 is powered by linear motor drives on the X and Y axes, delivering rapid feed rates of 60 m/min, while the Z-axis employs a high-speed ballscrew with 40 m/min feed. High-end Heidenhain TNC640 control with 5-axis simultaneous capability ensures advanced contouring, TCPM (Tool Center Point Management), and real-time error compensation for complex geometries.
With a 60-tool automatic tool changer (HSK100A), integrated spindle cooling, automatic lubrication, and robust counterbalance systems, the APEC G3050 is built for continuous high-precision machining. Optional accessories such as BLUM non-contact tool measurement, workpiece probing, and advanced kinematic calibration systems further enhance productivity and process reliability.
