To help keep walls clean, the Continental FA68NBS 68-inch worktop freezer features a 6-inch backsplash to mitigate splashes and splatters. The worktop is made of heavy-duty stainless steel to withstand high-volume use. For durability and ease of cleaning, its front and end panels are made of stainless steel, the rear and grill are made of galvanized steel, and its interior is made of aluminum. Four heavy-duty, epoxy-coated shelves provide durability and strength, and the included 5-inch casters facilitate movement of the unit. To prevent cold-air loss, this unit is insulated with 2 inches of non-CFC polyurethane foam. Its two full-height, solid doors and one half-height, solid door have spring-loaded, self-closing hinges and Santoprene® magnetic snap-in door gaskets for a solid seal. Polished chrome door handles provide easier handling and cleaning, and the doors are field rehingeable for simple modification.
For optimum cooling, the Continental FA68NBS 68-inch worktop freezer's side-mounted, performance-rated refrigeration system utilizes environmentally friendly R-290 refrigerant and a forced-air design. This 22-cubic-foot capacity unit is designed to maintain NSF-7 temperatures in ambient temperatures up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Fans located approximately 12 inches apart across the back of the unit provide even air distribution. The electric control, automatic defrost system prevents frost buildup, protecting foods from freezer burn. An automatic, non-electric condensate evaporator and the expansion valve system provide energy savings and efficient temperature regulation. This unit's fin evaporator coil is plasticized to resist corrosion, and its condensing unit slides out to simplify servicing.
