The front-opening door on the Hoshizaki BD-500SF ice bin provides access to as much as 500 pounds of ice. It is insulated with polyurethane to prevent ice from melting, and it's lined with polyethylene to ensure ice tastes fresh and clean. To keep an ice maker close to the bin, a 24- to 241/2-inch-deep machine can be installed on top of the unit. The exterior of the bin is made of stainless steel, a material that resists corrosion, denting, and scratching in high-volume environments.
The Hoshizaki BD-500SF ice bin comes with a scoop to facilitate retrieval of ice. The scoop and bin are protected with H-GUARD Plus® antimicrobial to slow the growth of bacteria and reduce the spread of germs. Because the bin is mounted on painted legs, employees can sweep underneath the unit without having to pull it out from where it's installed.
