MODEL X1400 Central Granulator 24 in x 56 in (600 mm x 1400 mm) Cutting Chamber INFEED The rugged, double walled and sound proofed conveyor feed hopper minimizes airborne and structural noise. The hopper tilts out of the way, via hydraulic cylinders, for unobstructed access to the cutting chamber and ease of maintenance. CUTTING CHAMBER The central cutting chamber is comprised of the main frame, adjustable bed knives, a rotor, and integral oversize bearing housings. The internal surfaces of the rugged, steel cutting chamber are machined to a smooth finish for effective cleaning. This chamber is a doweled and bolted construction. The cutting chamber has two bed knives. These knives are mounted in a chevron pattern and are located opposite each other. A dropdown screen cradle is provided for ease of screen removal. Access to the cutting chamber for thorough cleaning and/or changing of knives is permitted by the split chamber that raises the upper half of the cutting chamber and lowers the screen cradle and discharge assembly via hydraulic cylinders. ROTOR The 5-knife Twinshear chevron rotor is heat treated for long-life and durability. The scissor type action against the opposing chevron bed knives completes the unique Twinshear cut. Rotating end plates reduce frictional heat and prevents wrapping. The rotor knives are bolted to the rotor with high-strength alloy steel bolts. Heavy duty spherical roller bearings are mounted in housings outboard of the cutting chamber to prevent bearing contamination. The rotor is an open wing design. ROTOR KNIVES The D2 steel rotor knives are heat treated through a proprietary process to insure long life. The knives are finished to a Steep Angle (Std) BED KNIVES The D2 steel bed knives are heat treated through a proprietary process to insure long life. Clearance between the rotor knives and bed knives is obtained by simple adjustment of bed knife push/pull screws. SCREEN The screen has 3/8 in (9.53 mm) diameter holes. The Standard Reversible screen is mounted in a swing-down pull-out cradle which permits quick, easy access for thorough cleaning and/or changing.
MOTOR 150HP (112 kW) 1800-RPM totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor Rated for 460V / 3PH / 60Hz operation. DRIVE PARTS The drive parts include a single flywheel rotor sheave, motor sheave, tapered bushing, Vbelts, and an adjustable sliding motor base. CONTROL The controls are proposed as a separate line item. BASE A low profile base is provided for airveyor discharge. The base is mounted on pads to dampen vibration. DISCHARGE The discharge is an Airveyor type with 12 in (305mm) OD outlet. The discharge direction is at the left side of the machine.
