These Variable Speed lathes use a State-of-Art AC Spindle Drive to control the motor. A belt drive system from the motor to gearbox head. Speed changes are then selected by shifting gear levers into one (1) of three (3) locations (Low, Medium, High) then adjusting a pot control knob to adjust the speed output.
Three phase voltage refers to three individual lines that connect to and run voltage through the motor. Each line alternates in a sequence as it reaches its voltage peak. This provides for a more stable flow of voltage and more horsepower to the machine.

A broad range of feed and thread selections are available by using three selector levers and an 8 position rotary dial
Cross slide runs along a dovetail guide
Precision tapered roller spindle bearings
Bed wipers and apron mounted one-shot lubrication pump
Cast Iron Plinths with full length splash guard and traveling chip guard
Dynamic spindle brake via the inverter
Equipped with chuck guard, full splash guard, and leadscrew cover
Able to reverse leadscrew while chuck is turning for faster thread cutting
Extra wide bed provides accuracy and minimal wear
Carriage ways coated with “Moglice” PTFE for minimal bed wear and longer machine life
