The DS 300/70C machining center combines the advantages offered by stationary-part machining with those of rotating-part machining.
The spindle head incorporates 2 spindles: a standard milling spindle for drilling, tapping and milling applications and a U-axis turning head. The radial-movement U-axis turning head is able to perform virtually any type of turning jobs – spherical or tapered turning, as well as boring and threading, making use of standard tools.
The turning operations can be done with all the features of standard lathe turning, including constant surface speed control. This ruggedly constructed machine features an excellent chip disposal system.
