The all new IKOI UltraBite System allows you to reduce 1000 oz bars and/or Dore Bars into small pieces which allows you to skip the melting/graining phase. It can also be used for dore bars before going in chemical process to accelerate the acid attachment.
The UltraBite is new patented technology from IKOI to mechanically "destroy" 1000 oz Silver bars to create mechanical shavings.
Characteristics of the Machine:
Welded, stretched, sandblasted painted carpentry structure including basement
Machine body shoulders thickness 50 mm
2 lateral motorized rollers for loading of the bars in the cutting area. Each side is supplied with a mechanical/pneumatic pushing system for inserting the bars in the cutting area. Bars are loaded manually on the left & right roller. Each roller can contain up to 4 bars. Ultra Bite takes around 15-18 minutes to shreds 1 bar for each side (it means 2 bars every 15-18 minutes) (totally 6 doré bars in an hour)
Special machining wheel in tempered steel with surface hardening (patent pending)
Cooling air injectors
Motorization with adjustable speed by inverter coupled to the cutting wheel by belt transmission on the flywheel
Special interchangeable mobile plates series for cutting precious metals (patent pending)
Mechanical pushing device of the shredding bars with adjustable speed operated by hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic power unit
Counter cut with interchangeable fixed plates
Hydraulic press device for blocking bars during machining, automatic adjustable adapt to various bars sizes from 30 mm to 100 mm
Special discharging scrap/waste system on each side of the machine (left and right)
Collection funnel and discharging shavings
Electric cupboard and control cabinet with SIEMENS touch screen HMI panel
Housings, safety panels, openings, sensors, and safety devices according to CE standards
Instruction manual according to CE Standards
Machine works in autonomy for 1 hour
Process Description:
The operator loads, on the motorized rollers (left and right), the bars to be treated.
Each roller can contain 4 bars each side.
When the first bars (left and right) arrive to the cutting zone, a mechanical pushing device is pressing the bar against the tools for shredding.
The machine is composed by two independent lines, each one with a production capacity of 3 bars per hour
When the bar, for each line, arrive at the end of the stroke, the lateral pushing device moves the bar into the central position (point “A” and point “B”). At this moment the mechanical pushing system (P) presses the bar against the shredding tools.
At the end of each bar process, a ~10% thick waste/scrap remains which is ejected automatically from the lateral ejection system and goes to a lateral box separated from the shavings of each bar.
Said waste/scrap can be picked up manually by an operator in the collection tray under the machine at the end of each bar and must then be managed separately (for example, it returns to the foundry), or said separation takes place automatically in the case of ULTRA BITE is equipped with a vibrating sieving table, which is specifically designed to collect the shavings from underneath the machine and separate the shavings from the waste/scrap by means of vibration, and then in any case said waste/scrap must then be managed separately.
