Lectromelt Model PT (9.0 feet diameter) Electric Arc Furnace
Furnace capacity of 7.0 to 9.0 tons per heat. The furnace is of the separate ram design wherein the roof lift and swing mechanism is attached to a foundation separate from the furnace shell. Fabricated steel furnace shell with slag door and tap spout. The furnace is complete with hydraulic power unit for roof lift and swing as well as furnace tilt functions. Electrode columns are of the fixed mast design with electromechanical electrode positioning. Electrode arm bus is water cooled. Power operated electrode holders for inch diameter electrodes. Solid state electrode regulation. High voltage electrical equipment consisting of disconnect and furnace switch. Several transformer options available.
