Great for areas that cannot provide a direct water supply, the Bloomfield 8543-D2 Koffee King® decanter coffee maker operates with a pour-over feature, meaning water for the brewing process has to be manually added to the reservoir. It has a single brew dispenser and two warming plates, with one under the dispenser and one on top of the unit, and these warming plates are porcelain enameled without exposed screwheads. This setup prevents them from scraping and scuffing decanters.
The thermostat in this Bloomfield 8543-D2 low-volume drip coffee maker measures the temperature of the water, and when is is at the right level, the indicator light notifies users. To ensure flavors and aromas are extracted from the coffee grounds, the sprayhead spreads water over them and creates agitation.
