You Ji YV / VTL Series – Ram-Type Vertical Turning Lathes & Vertical Turning Centers

The You Ji YV/VTL Series comprises vertical ram-type turning lathes engineered for machining large and heavy parts with exceptional precision and durability. These machines are built on a foundation of heavy-duty Meehanite cast iron, incorporating oversized box ways and large-diameter pre-tensioned ballscrews for superior rigidity and stability. All mating surfaces are Turcite-B coated and hand-scraped to ensure optimal alignment and long-term accuracy.

Both the YV and VTL series vertical lathes feature Timken cross roller table bearings, delivering industry-leading rigidity and precision. Variable column heights/ram strokes are available to accommodate very tall workpieces. Starting with the VTL-1600, twin ram configurations are available, while models VTL-3000 and above utilize a robust double-column design for enhanced structural integrity.

An optional C-axis system is available, featuring a dual-spindle motor and dual-pinion drive for virtually zero backlash and exceptional positioning accuracy and repeatability. All models are equipped with high-power spindle motors paired with ZF planetary gearboxes, delivering the high torque needed for heavy-duty metal removal.
