The VCPevo / VCP Evolution (often written “VCPevolution”) is a fully automatic register punching & bending system for printing plates (offset printing) built by NELA. 

“VCP” stands for: Video‐recognition of register marks (V) + Controlling via CCD image processing (C) + Positioning by stepping motor control (P) — as one brochure puts it. 

The machine is used in the pre‐press / printing-plate automation sector: it aligns exposed printing plates, punches the register holes, bends the plates (to the correct angle) in one cycle. 

The VCPevolution line is described as the “new generation” of the VCP series, aimed at high precision, high throughput, integration into automation / plate sorting lines. 

According to NELA’s product page for VCP, the machine is “available in different models and can easily be integrated into any automation solution.”
