RUESCH MODEL 177 6.5" X 24" PRECISION RING SLITTER WITH TOOLING

This Ruesch Model 177 precision ring slitter features approximately 6.5" diameter arbors, a 24" arbor width, and a 125 HP Reliance DC motor for industrial metal strip and coil slitting applications. Available from International Rolling Mills, the machine includes a separate drive assembly and an extensive assortment of slitting knives and spacers for configuring multiple strip widths.

Heavy machine housings and a substantial base provide rigid support for the slitting arbors. A sliding outboard bearing housing provides access to the arbor ends for knife and spacer changes. The separate drive assembly incorporates a Horsburgh & Scott gear reducer and pinion stand with an 18.07:1 reduction ratio.

The slitter features an adjustable ring slitting assembly with four support rolls positioned at the top and bottom of both the entry and exit sides. These rolls allow positioning to support the material through the cut and strip it from the opposing knives. The adjustable arrangement allows vertical clearance and cut point to be set for the material being processed.

This used Ruesch precision ring slitter offers a platform for integration into coil-processing lines serving rolling mills, metal service centers, and specialty strip manufacturers.

CONDITION AND EQUIPMENT SCOPE

Offered in used, as-is condition. Electrical controls are not included. The drive shafts and universal joints required to connect the gearbox/pinion stand output shafts to the slitter head arbors are also not included.
