The Wyatt COMET WIC-01 is an ultrasonic transducer designed to clean the flow cells of Wyatt Technology's light-scattering instruments. Function and featuresThe COMET accessory performs the following tasks:Automatic cleaning: The transducer uses ultrasonic agitation to loosen and remove particles from the walls and windows of the flow cell, which can interfere with light scattering measurements.Integrated design: The device is integrated directly into the flow cell manifold of Wyatt's DAWN, miniDAWN, or microDAWN detectors.In situ operation: The cleaning process occurs while the instrument's mobile phase is running, so there is no need to disassemble the fluid fittings or the setup. The loosened particles are simply flushed out by the solvent.Software control: Users can control the COMET manually from the instrument's front panel or program it to clean the flow cell automatically before, after, or between measurements using Wyatt's ASTRA or CALYPSO software packages.Compatibility: All multi-angle light scattering (MALS) detectors shipped by Wyatt starting in 2018 have the COMET included. All shipments are FOB origin (title and risk transfer to buyer at shipping point). We charge actual shipping and packaging costs only. We do not ship internationally unless prior arrangements are made. Any orders shipped via freight forwarder are final sale with no returns. Shipping Damage & Claims All freight damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of delivery. Failure to follow these steps may result in denial of any refund related to shipping damage. Buyer assumes all risk regarding the quality, performance, suitability, and safety of the equipment. Equipment should only be installed and operated by qualified personnel. Seller is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses (incidental or consequential) related to the use of purchased equipment. All disputes shall be governed by California law. Jurisdiction for any dispute will be in the State Courts of California.
