APEC GM2540-5L – 5-Axis High Speed Gantry Machining Center

The APEC GM2540-5L is an advanced 5-axis high-speed gantry machining center engineered for precision, efficiency, and durability in machining large-scale, complex components. Designed with aerospace, die/mold, and high-precision industries in mind, the GM2540-5L delivers superior accuracy, high dynamic performance, and reliable long-term operation.

Equipped with a 12,000 RPM HSK100A spindle delivering up to 76 kW of power and 302 Nm of torque, this machining center handles both high-speed aluminum cutting and heavy-duty machining of tough materials such as titanium alloys and nickel-based superalloys. Its fork-type 2-axis milling head with direct-drive motors enables ±110° B-axis swivel and full ±360° C-axis rotation, ensuring exceptional flexibility for freeform and undercut surface machining.

The machine offers generous travels of X: 4,000 mm, Y: 2,500 mm, Z: 1,200 mm, with a robust gantry structure designed for maximum rigidity and stability. The linear motor drives on X and Y axes deliver backlash-free high-speed movement at up to 60 m/min, while the rack-and-pinion Z-axis provides excellent rigidity for vertical stability. Thermal symmetry and APEC’s patented Box-in-Box structure enhance stiffness, reduce torsional deformation, and improve long-term accuracy.
