Patty forming machines come in many sizes. In manual machines the product is placed in a tube and pressed into a mold plate based on patty diameter and thickness. Other patty forming machines are more automatic, from table top models that can produce up to 2,100 hamburger patties per hour to patty forming machines that can produce 10,000 patties per hour.
There are high compression patty forming machines and more natural “handmade” type patty machines.
Some patty forming machines place paper in between each patty and this is called a paper interlever system.
