One heavy duty HD000 MEECO® two roll, two motor continuous automatic rotary straightening, sizing and polishing machine for the size range of 1/16" to 1/4" actual OD in mild materials, 1/16 - 3/16 with heat treat. Machine to have all steel welded base containing a divided coolant reservoir with flow filter baffle. Mounted on this base is the steel roll housing. Both roll carriers are mounted in cylindrical guide ways, and the straight roll is mounted on a cylindrical ram crosshead. Pressure is applied by means of a pressure screw.
Motors drive the rolls by means of an endless timing belt. The rolls are of D2 tool steel heat treated to 58 - 60 RC and ground and mounted on alloy shafts in Timken equipped yokes. Roll drives by means of hardened driving pin. The guide holders are vertically adjusted with threaded swivel pad screws. Guide holder side adjusting screws are completely enclosed with shields and fitted with grease lubrication. Guides (quoted elsewhere) are required for straightening
