Overview
The E992 Automated Passivation system is equipped with an E992 ultrasonic washer and (4) 60-gallon heated storage tanks (HST's). These are designed for alkaline cleaning solution, acid passivation solution and rinse water. Pump filter systems are incorporated into the HST's.

The Model E992 Automated Passivation system is equipped with an E992 ultrasonic washer and (4) 60-gallon heated storage tanks (HST's). These are designed for alkaline cleaning solution, acid passivation solution and rinse water. Pump filter systems are incorporated into the HST's.
This system is designed to run automated cycles of alkaline cleaning, rinsing, passivation, rinsing and drying. The system uses high powered ultrasonics for cleaning and agitation during the steps of the program.
Storage Tank #1 (Acid) is designed to acid passivation solution
Storage Tank #2 (Alkaline) is designed to hold alkaline cleaning solution
Storage Tank #3 (Rinse #1) is designed to hold rinse water
Storage Tank #4 (Rinse #2) is designed to hold rinse water
Highly powered ultrasonics are used for the cleaning/passivating/rinsing agitation. If ultrasonics are not desired during cleaning or passiveation steps, they can be turned off during these steps for soaking only.
4,500 watts of heat and 1,100 cfm of air are used for the drying cycle of the program.
A Beijer HMI panel mount interface is included with the E992 unit allowing monitoring of the on-line operation and modifying of the program.

This system was designed for a second E992 unit to be added in the future. The storage tanks have enough volume to handle 2 process units running simultaneously.
