USED 2002 LIEBHERR LC 682
Overview
This Liebherr LC 682 is a heavy-duty CNC hobbing machine built for gears up to 26.8" (680 mm) in diameter and as coarse as 2.1 DP (12 module). A 32 hp (24 kW) hob head running to 750 rpm, 23.6" (600 mm) of axial travel and an NC outboard support with matching 23.6" travel give it the rigidity and reach for large spur and helical gears, splines and shaft-type work. The machine was originally configured for the North American market at 460 V / 60 Hz.
The machine will go through a full Machine Tool Builders Recontrol and Recertification program. The recontrol replaces the original electronics with a new Fanuc 0iF Plus CNC in a complete new electrical cabinet, new servo motor and feedback cabling, new feedback systems on every axis, and MTB's own conversational hobbing software with inch or metric programming. Before the new control is ever energized, MTB recertifies the machine mechanically: every function is checked, and anything not operating to specification is repaired or replaced. The result is a modern control on a machine known to be mechanically sound, not someone else's unresolved problems hidden in typical used machine offerings.
The machine is equipped with a ringloader, which MTB will configure to the customer's workpiece and handling requirements, or disable for manual loading if preferred. No workpiece conveyor or part stocker is included. Because the program is still ahead of us, there is room to tailor the machine to your application, including workholding and operator training.
