NEW SHARP SDC-205

This is a Double Column Vertical Machining Center for large and heavy work piece. It is designed with Liner Roller Pack Ways for fast rapid traverse but still support heavy cutting condition.

- Methanide castings are used for uniform soundness, consistent physical properties and dependable performance in machining.
- Precision hand scraping are used on box ways for the Z axis. It increases the flatness and improve geometric accuracy (straightness and squareness) of the whole assembly.
- The table travels on three linear roller type guideways that can support up to 44,000 lbs load , and rapid feed up to 394ipm (10M/min)
- The spindle head travels along the cross beam on two linear roller type guideways for fast feed and rapid positioning.
- The spindle head travels up and down (Z axis) on box ways for accuracy and rigidity
- The columns and the cross beam are built as one casting for precision movement of the spindle head
- The dual contact spindle is equipped with 2 speed programmable gear change for low end high torque machining
- For simple and economic machining, the spindle does not provide for any separate milling heads.
- Air blast system is installed in the spindle to blow out chips that may embedded during automatic tool change.
- The machine has all around splash guards equipped with viewing windows at different locations
- Two Chip augers and chain type chip conveyors are provided for efficient disposal of chips
- The unit is equipped with head exchanger to ensure isolation of internal and ambient air. It also prevents dew forming from over cooling.
- Programmable coolant system and automatic lubrication system offer easy operation and maintenance.
- FANUC control has 1280 meters memory (0.5 MB), 2 GM data server, USB memory interface and 10.4” color display screen
