Designed for Tool & Die, its surface finishing capability, fewer vibration stripes by accel and decel, and less quadrant projections features a number of technological innovations. Fine Pitch ball screw reduces the maximum rapid speed but increases the overall precision of the entire system along with a rigid machine base. The VB53 employs an external, isolated oil cooler, which removes a common source of vibration from the machine, resulting in high die quality. Countermeasures for thermal displacement are designed to provide precision capability. The coolant shelter prevents the casting from being exposed to either cutting chips or coolant.
