Blown Film - Lines

Manufacturer Information
Lab Tech Engineering
Lab Tech Engineering manufactures laboratory and small-scale plastics processing equipment used for research, development, formulation testing, material evaluation, and pilot-scale production. Laboratory extrusion lines are particularly useful for testing polymers, additives, color concentrates, and masterbatch formulations before moving materials into larger production equipment.
This system was previously used by a masterbatch company for R&D applications.
Description
Available for sale is a used Lab Tech laboratory / small-scale blown film extrusion line consisting of a Lab Tech Type LE25-30C single screw extruder, blown film die head, and Lab Tech Type LF 400 downstream winding unit, along with feeding, piping, and additional infrastructure.
The LE25-30C extruder features a 25 mm diameter screw with a 30:1 L/D ratio and a maximum screw speed of 300 RPM. The barrel is electrically heated and air cooled. The screw is gearbox driven by an approximately 6 HP / 4 kW motor, specified for 400V, 50 Hz, 3-phase electrical service. An operating panel is included, and the extruder is mounted on wheels for mobility. The extruder was built in 2008.
The line includes a blown film die head and a Lab Tech LF 400 winding unit capable of handling film widths up to 350 mm. The downstream unit is also mounted on wheels and was built in 2014.
This compact system could be well suited for polymer R&D, masterbatch development, color and additive trials, resin evaluation, blown film formulation development, and laboratory-scale film production.
