WHAT SIZE IS THE SCREW ON THIS NRM EXTRUDER?
The machine is equipped with a 4.5" diameter screw.

WHAT IS THE L/D RATIO?
The extruder has a 34:1 length-to-diameter ratio.

IS THE BARREL VENTED?
Yes. The approximately 12' long barrel includes a 5.5" side vent located about 6.5' from the feed throat.

HOW IS THE BARREL HEATED?
The barrel uses electric heating.

DOES THE BARREL HAVE COOLING?
Yes. Water cooling is provided.

WHAT SIZE IS THE DRIVE MOTOR?
The screw is driven by a 200 HP electric motor.

WHAT VOLTAGE IS THE DRIVE MOTOR?
The motor is rated for 500 VDC.

ARE MOTOR CONTROLS INCLUDED?
Yes. SCR motor controls are included.

IS THE CONTROL PANEL COMPLETE?
The control panel is included, but the temperature controllers are missing.

WHAT SIZE IS THE FEED THROAT?
The feed throat is approximately 8" round.

WHEN WAS THE EXTRUDER BUILT?
The unit was built in 1982.

HAS THE MACHINE BEEN STORED OUTDOORS?
No. The unit is stored indoors at our warehouse.
