PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Used Alfa Laval Model MAPX 207 24 S automatic desludging disc centrifuge, Serial #2919 100, designed for three-phase liquid/liquid/solid separation. The centrifuge is driven by a 7-1/2 HP motor rated 230/460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz at approximately 1,764 rpm. The separator is mounted in a carbon steel spill-containment skid with fork slots measuring approximately 90" long x 48" wide x 12" high and providing approximately 7" of inside containment depth. The system also includes two basket strainers and six stainless steel shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Each heat exchanger contains 54 tubes measuring approximately 1/2" ID x 47-1/2" long. The system was last used in biodiesel production. Possible applications include three-phase separation, clarification, purification and solids removal of compatible biodiesel, oils, fuels, process liquids and other suitable liquid/liquid/solid process streams.
