NEW APEC GM2750

The APEC GM2750-5L is a high-performance 5-axis gantry machining center engineered for large, complex components requiring high-speed machining, precision, and dynamic stability. Its fixed-table gantry configuration, high-rigidity construction, and simultaneous 5-axis capability make it particularly suited to demanding applications such as aerospace components, large molds and dies, and complex free-form surface machining.

At the heart of the GM2750-5L is an AGA HSK63A built-in spindle delivering speeds up to 24,000 rpm, with 60/75 kW (S1/S6) spindle power and 48.2/60.5 Nm torque. Combined with a large working envelope of 5,000 mm X-axis, 2,700 mm Y-axis, and 1,500 mm Z-axis travel, the machine provides the capacity and performance required for efficient machining of large workpieces. Its fixed 5,000 × 2,500 mm table supports a load of 8 T/m².

The AGA fork-type 5-axis milling head uses direct-drive B- and C-axis motors for fast, simultaneous 5-axis movement and precision free-form machining. With B-axis travel of ±120° and C-axis travel of ±360°, the GM2750-5L provides excellent accessibility for complex contours and undercut surfaces. Both rotary axes feature 4,000 Nm clamping torque, providing high rigidity during machining.

High-speed performance is further enhanced by linear motor drives on the X, Y, and Z axes, providing rapid traverse rates of up to 60 m/min. The direct-drive configuration eliminates mechanical backlash and reduces wear while supporting high acceleration, accuracy, and long-term reliability. High-rigidity roller-type linear guideways and Heidenhain optical linear/circular scales further support precise positioning and stable machining performance.
