PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The conical vessel has a total capacity of approximately 49.43 cubic feet with approximately 35.3 cubic feet working volume. Product is gently agitated by an 8" diameter inclined orbiting screw driven by a 10 HP drive, supporting mixing and drying of compatible powders, granules and particles up to approximately 5 mm. The vessel interior and jacket are rated for full vacuum through 150 PSI at 450°F, with a stated maximum actual drying temperature of 302°F. The top head includes an 18" manway with 6" sight glass, 18" flanged connection, 4" sight glass, two 3" flanged connections, two 2" flanged connections, a 6" flanged connection and two 1" threaded jacket fittings. The vessel side includes two 2" flanged body-jacket connections. Bottom discharge is through a 10" flanged outlet equipped with a pneumatically operated flush-mount valve, with two additional 1" threaded fittings for the bottom jacket. Possible applications include vacuum drying, solvent removal, low-temperature drying and gentle mixing of compatible pharmaceutical, chemical, specialty chemical and other powder or granular products.
