PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Used APV stainless steel desulphurizing column measuring approximately 24" diameter x 28' high and equipped with 15 valve trays. The system was designed for processing approximately 1,000 imperial gallons per hour of grape juice and was used to reduce sulphur dioxide concentration from approximately 1,550 ppm to 100 ppm. The valve-tray configuration provides multiple stages of vapor-liquid contact through the column during the desulphurization process. System includes a preheater shell-and-tube heat exchanger for conditioning the incoming process stream prior to treatment. Possible applications include sulphur dioxide removal and desulphurization of compatible grape juice and other suitable liquid food or beverage process streams.
