PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Used Chemicolloid Industries Charlotte Model SD-40 horizontal inline colloid mill, Serial #4211, constructed of Type 316 stainless steel for processing compatible pumpable slurry and liquid products. The unit is mounted on a common stainless steel base and driven by a 40 HP motor rated 230/460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz at approximately 3,565 rpm. Rated production capacity is up to approximately 1,200 gallons per hour depending on product characteristics and processing conditions. The mill is equipped with an adjustable-gap rotor system for controlled high-shear processing and can provide partial particle-size reduction down to approximately 3–5 microns depending on the material, formulation and machine setup. Process connections are approximately 3" OD / 2" ID threaded fittings. Includes motor starter. Last used in the food industry.
